There is a fashion waste problem within our societies and THO has decided to assist in reducing this waste. According to research, 25% of the fabrics produced become waste after they enter the supply chain. Clothes are very important in our life, they insulate us against hot or cold weathers and serve as a hygienic barrier, preventing infectious and toxic material far from our bodies. Apart from clothes keeping the body warm and covering us up, it is worn to improve our looks and brings joy and admiration.
Most people use only half of their clothes but keep them and it eventually becomes out of fashion. Many store them and it takes up storage in their homes, others burn them or throw them away as waste. One of THO’s focal area is to gather these clothes from individuals and large groups for recycling and donating them to communities in need.
